JSC Almaz – Press was founded as a general printing company in 1997. Creation of the Almaz – Press can by right be considered the starting point of resurrection of the best traditions of domestic printing. The company today has the leading position among the Russian printers of periodicals as well as advertising and commercial stuff.
Our leadership and innovations:
- It was our achievement that by 1998 Russian customers had been able to give up foreign partners' services and switch over to domestic manufacturing basis.
- We were the first to provide an opportunity for publishing houses and advertising agencies to shorten publishing terms of their periodicals by placing their orders for high-quality printing in downtown Moscow.
- We were the first to install two the most modern printing machines: Sundаy-2000 web press and Speedmaster - 102 CD LYX sheet-fed press, manufactured by Heidelberg, having no analogues in Russia.
- We were the first to introduce the CTP technology, which made it possible to achieve significant acceleration of the process cycle and provided for maximal high-quality of the issued forms.
- We were the first to use ICC-profiling.
- We were the first to equip our printing machinery with the most modern system of automatic control of the printing process, which made it possible to guarantee to our customers the stability of the printing process for the total amount of print run.
- We were the first to develop and start industrial-scale manufacturing of pocket size periodicals: “Cosmo mini”, “Men’s Health mini”, “Collezioni Mini”, “The Most Mini”, “Caravan of Stories. Collection”, “Lady Driver”, etc.
- We were the first to develop manufacturing capacities for publishing of collection editions, such as – “part works”: “The Tree of Knowledge”, “Speak English” for Marshall Cavendish, etc.
- We are leaders in the sphere of high-quelity and non-standart printing technologies. Almaz-Press has long been using routinely as standard mode of operation what other printing houses still regard as an unusual process requiring time-consuming adjustment.
